Movie Night Reflection, Adriana Barajas

     The quote, "Happiness is not something that happens to people but something that they make happen," relates to the movie, The Pursuit of Happiness because as seen in the movie, Mr.Gardner struggles to take care of his son and stay financially stable so he tries to get a job at an Organization where at first was only an internship that later led to a real job if you were accepted and passed the final test. He gets a book to read and study from and he tries his best to study that  book everyday at all times. He wouldn't give up even though he was unhappy and really struggling in his life with many things that happened to him. He went through many obstacles but that did not stop him from working even harder and do what it took to take care of his son and to get the job at the Organization. He later ends up passing the test, probably with a very good score, helping the company out a lot and getting the job at the Organization. If it was not for him studying and working very hard, he wouldn't have gotten the job and would have still of been very unhappy. 195 It is said that money is often viewed as a necessity in our society, but we know it is not our main source of well-being. I think that people that are at least in the middle class can be happy because they have enough money to support themselves and their family, but when it comes to being poor and having nowhere to live, then that is where you would really need the money to survive, so I think it depends on peoples situations. That is when money is viewed as a necessity. Other than that, if you have the right amount of money then you can be happy with the things you have or the people you share it with.
