Adriana Barajas Portfolio
Hallmark 1
The significance of this artifact is that it is a necklace that I have had since the beginning of the school year and it has always made me feel at one with God. I believe that God is good and this necklace has made me feel safe with it around my neck. We honor that goodness in ourselves when God is near to us. I included this artifact in my portfolio because I am a person that is very religious and believes in God and that he can help us when we are in need.
This belongs in my portfolio because we make decisions that are informed by the values of the our catholic teachings and I chose to wear this necklace around my neck because I believe that God is good and that he can help me get through anything. When we believe in God and pray to him, he can make anything happen for us and by putting our trust in him, things can come true.
Hallmark 2
The significance of this article is that we honor the dignity and sacredness of each person. We should all respect each other and build a community together. We should develop relationships with everyone and anyone at our school. I included this in my portfolio because we should all appreciate relationships that respect individual differences. We also dedicate time to our friends to help them in their personal journey. Making friends is a road to happiness because we make bonds with people that sometimes we thought we would have never of hung out with or have met.
This picture belongs in this section because it is a comparison between hallmark 2 which is to appreciate relationships with one another because we should all create bonds with people from our school. We should respect everyone around us because they deserve to be respected. It is a great feeling when we meet someone new that we can share our time with. When we gather together and develop friendships, it is a great feeling. I will continue to make more friends and respect everyone around me.

The significance of this artifact is that it is apart of our classroom experience that connects with global perspectives and classroom learning. I included this poster in my portfolio because it is apart of my learning experience and how it can affect my school life in a positive way. This poster includes tips on what I can do to better my study skills and what techniques I can use to learn information from what I have learned faster and easier.
It belongs in this section because we commit ourselves to create just systems with our learning community. This poster has taught me good skills about this school year and how I can improve on my school work. I have learned great skills from this poster because I was taught them in my Science Success Seminar class. This class taught me things that I could use in my school work like better ways to study for tests and how I can improve in studying for tests days before the test date.

The significance of this artifact is that this was a shirt that I wore on Call to Action day on the day when I met special people that came to our school. It was a day that was very worthwhile and fun to attend. I got the chance to hang out with autistic people that were really nice and had the more positive vibe ever. I included this in my portfolio because we commit ourselves to community service and make ourselves useful to other people around us, even people we do not know.
It belongs in this section because it was apart of an event that was important and special which made people happy and respected. We all wore this shirt with pride because we were doing something that made other people happy and important too. We created partnerships with the community that facilitate service-learning processes.

The significance of this artifact is that it was given to me recently and it is an angel that is from Mexico and that is my birth stone as well. I included this in my portfolio because it celebrates the richness of my heritage. The NDNU community welcomes people of diverse cultures and different cultures in our community are respected. Everyone is treated equally and I do not ever see anyone being mistreated. I feel that everyone at this school treats everyone like family and respects everyone for who they are.
This belongs in this section because it shows the diversity in our world community. Not everyone has an artifact of an angel of their birth stone that came from Mexico. Everyone in this world was created differently and everyone shines in their own special way. God made us all equal and special, we are all important and we all deserve to be respected. There should not be anything who is treated differently for the way they look or where they are from.
Hallmark 6
The significance of this artifact is that it is a special book that I read this semester and that has made an impact in my life. It has taught me about helping others in this world and the significance of having meaning and a purpose to be there for people that are struggling and need help. I included this in my portfolio because it was a book we read this semester and it had a lot of life lessons in it that related to remembering and honoring the legacy of friendship between the sisters of Notre Dame de Namur.
This book belongs in this section because we value and implement community-building activities, both social and spiritual like sister Dorothy did in the Martyr of the Amazon. She helped people in need when they least expected to be helped and as a community at NDNU we should too. We were created to help one another and that is what we should all do. Good outcomes come from working hard to help others and make a change towards someone else life.

This artifact is significant because it is a reminder of graduating and how we can be successful and earn that part of the gown which is part of our graduation. I included this in my portfolio because academically excellent education experiences are created at this school which relates to preparing us to graduate. I included this in my portfolio because it reminds me of being a step closer to finishing school and graduating. It is a reminder of hard work and what we have done to get to this point. Then, in the future we will look back to our first semester at this school and be grateful for everything that we have.
This belongs in this section because excellent educational experiences are created for us at this school. As students it is our duty to do our work and learn about what is being taught to us. By the school giving us a part of our cap we are reminded everyday about what our goal should be at this school. We should be dedicating ourselves to our studies and working hard to succeed in order to graduate. Hard work pays off in the end and good results are always shown.
